Self motivation is nothing new. It requires four main goals to achieve success. Any system should base on setting a target; visualizing the outcome; position milestones to monitor progress; and complete the task.
Although the method of stimulus is similar, the number one self motivation tool today is known as the "Bucket List." It is a wonderful way to attune you towards accomplishing your dreams. It is never too late and there is no better ultimate day to begin than right now to create your "Bucket List" and set you towards your desires.
You maybe asking, "Where did this bucket list come from?" A movie titled, "The Bucket List" starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson is said to coin the phrase. The basic synopsis of storyline is to do the all things you always wanted from a list. The film's title crept into our vocabulary and lives; hence, we have the bucket list or things you would like to accomplish before you "kick the bucket."
Refocusing, changing, or making a new start can happen and become a reality once your thoughts are placed on paper. It is a friendly reminder of your wishes. Having the evidence in your possession to visualize will motivate you to accomplish many of your longings in life. Dreaming is a wonderful pastime but writing them down is apt to give the final push to achieve a life term productivity habit. We all have the same potential, but the one that lives out their inner being with list in hand, are the ones who will be successful.
Sounds like a tall order but should necessarily not be so. The bucket list is a positive reminder that one must finish the unfinished. The list you create for you does not have to be far-fetched or unrealistic but can include the simpler things like kissing someone in the pouring rain. Believe it or not, many people desire this but never take the opportunity to do so. The list is meant not to excuse you of slacking but to say this is what will make you happy in life to know that you are on the right road to your targets.
There is no right or wrong way to create your list, but one thing is certain; you will have a better chance to achieve your life's aspiration than without one.
- Create and pick just a handful of things you want to keep your focus on, placing them on your list.
- If it important and worth getting done to you, write it down.
- After you have finished keep you list readily available to review.
- Commit yourself to quiet reflective time at least once a month. Reviewing and adding-on to your list is important, otherwise, you will return to relying only on your short-term memory.
- Take the first step with number one on your list; cross it off once you have accomplished it.
- Add a new personal aim at the bottom of the list to replace the one you have crossed out.
You will be satisfied by your progress of what you have attained and fulfilled knowing that you have been a person who can live out their desires with success. It only gets easier each time you reach a goal. Now go make that list!
