Your first car will always be remembered with much excitement. A man views his car as his wife , and the first car will be viewed as the same affection as the first love. A man will spend hours washing, cleaning and admiring his pride and joy. He may even go to the extent of talking to the car. He will take such good care of the care, just like a proud father takes car of his new born baby. Girls or women will have a different approach to cars. Her first car will be more or less practical, without all the trims that boys like to cascade around with. Her car will be a lady's car and properly cared for. She will make a budget decision if she has to, and will not overspend, and have the need for speed like the boys.
This brings us to the whole point of the article. The pain and loss of the first car. I would say from observation, and talking to people about the relationship that they have would their cars, that a man with suffer and the loss of his car more than a female. Men invest a lot of time and energy into updating and taking care of their cars. The car may be write-off in an accident or be stolen or hi-jacked, the man will think of all the love he has given to the car, and there will be a kind of attachment to the car.
The grieving process of the car can be very emotional. The car was your first, and the two of you had some good times together, and had done some memorable trips. I remember when my parents got hi-jacked. I was in the back seat of the car, and the gunman broke the drivers side with his gun It shattered the window into little tiny fragments , and they then pulled dad out of the car, and drove away with me and my mother. I got off two minutes from my house and my mum got off ten minute from home. It was a difficult time for us, and my parents often endeared what happened to the car. the car was most probably dissembled and the parts sold to taxis. My father grieved for the car because it was his first luxury car with leather seats, and an air-conditioner,as well as air bags. Many people have to go for counselling after seeing their first car torn or shredded into bits by an unfortunate incident.
I have never owned a car,but I am considering purchases one very soon. I will like most people become very attached to it, especially if I get exactly what I want , in shape, colour, and extras in the car. I am female, and loosing my first car may not have such a huge impact on me,as it would on a male.
