Pamper yourself at home for a night on the town

Taking time for yourself does not need to break your bank account. Now, more than ever we need to find inexpensive ways to relax and pamper our body and soul. You can plan your at home night on the town in advance and make use of what you have on hand. The first item on your list should be the library. Take the time to browse and find that book you have been meaning to read all year. Make sure you have oatmeal and honey and green teabags for that homegrown, soothing facial. Plan a simple meal and get ready to refuel.

We live in such a fast paced society, that it is often impossible to find spare time to just do nothing. Every person needs to have one on one time with their inner self. Our bodies are like machines and they need maintenance every so often. Burn out is a common complaint in the workforce these days. Reflection, meditation and shutting out the world will do wonders for your soul. A clear mind can fix most problems in a tired body. If you have a partner, invite them to your at home spa. Make sure they know in advance there will be no talk of children, bills, or any other worrisome topic. It is imperative that all phones are shut off, doors locked, and friends and family can be told you are only available in an extreme emergency.

The scene is set and the big night has arrived; now it is time to vegetate. Think of it as recharging your cell phone. By the end of the evening you will be going to bed with four green bars showing! The next day you will be ready to face any challenge, your mind will be clear, and you will feel like a million dollars.

This at home rekindling should be done monthly, and never feel selfish about taking time for you. If we don't keep ourselves physically and mentally fit, we can't be of any help to our friends and family. This gift you give to yourself is really a gift to the special people in your life. Once you have tried this and discovered the merits, spread the word around so others can learn how to relax at home. Try making it into a spa party every second month. Invite your closest friends and pamper each other with facials or just read to each other.

Life is short and we need to learn how to live it to the fullest. Take control of your time, before time takes control of you.
