As we start a new year, eyes are laid on one man and his administration. The created beast by the almost ending presidency is concerning to most, if not all of us. Thousands of jobs being cut every month, foreclosures are becoming more vulnerable, and a costly war that seems never-ending, just to name a few. The need of a different ideology is imperative to steer the ship to its right course. I believe Barack Obama's performance should be followed with undivided attention as he fixes the bumpy road ahead. He has a very open mind about issues; his education has helped him learn to hear both sides of a story.

The practice of law helps the person to be more analythical about different problems. As he meets with his staff, the main concern is how they're going to help the people of the United States. As for the last 8 years the people who built this country have been forgotten by the Bush administration. The thought of Barack Obama and his administration taking-over in a few days, calms the majority just a bit. As he has tough challenges ahead, his administration is very well capable of their responsibilities. I must say they are the "dreamteam", compared to former government administrations.

Only time will tell if they meet the very high expectations expected by many to achieve. From Leon Panetta, CIA Director, to Hillary Rodham Clinton, as she awaits Senate confirmation as secretary of state. Obama's administration is well qualified and bold goal oriented toward the future. Quoted on Friday, Obama said that his administration would not compromise its ideals to fight terrorism. We finally see a tiny light at the end of the tunnel; they will focus on the country before diplomatic relations. This whole situation though, is not going to change overnight; patience and faith is needed in these rough times.

Although, believing in the administration will become hard for many Americans; as past administrations were seemed and portrayed promising for the people and in the end failed. It's hard for Americans to convert their opinion toward a more positive one, when regarding to political issues, because, some polititians have forgot who put them there in the first place.

"We the people", are the ones to focus on, not set aside for a more lucrative interest. As January 20th is just around the corner, Obama's Cabinet picks seem to draw comparisons to Lincoln and JFK. With the nation's economy rapidly worsening, Obama's Cabinet is keeping with both Abraham Lincoln's "team of rivals" and John F. Kennedy's "best and brightest" by surrounding himself with domestic and foreign-policy heavyweights. But can these big names with big intellects keep their big egos in check?
