Poetry: Good vs. evil

by Damon Mathews

Created on: January 09, 2009

It's a tangled web where we've been led, the results still remain to be seen.
On we fight not seeing the light, self-destruction ever present in our being.
As past is gone and we march on, we move through the day into tomorrow.
Enemy severe never makes clear, that history repeats itself to our sorrow.
But the day will come when there's no where to run, and that day could be tomorrow.

Never fear, for the spirit's still here, and it has more infinite time to borrow.
But don't waste your time till the end of the line, there's only so many days left in the fight.

Laugh if you must, but surely trust, destiny approaches like a thief in the night.

That's where the story might end by the will of some men, the prophesy fulfilled to a tee,as on we fight not seeing the light self-destruction our destiny to be.
