Making money with Google Adsense is easy. Making a lot of money with google adsense is a completely different story. Here are some adsense tips to help you make more money per click using google adsense.

1. Don't bother with trying to find the highest paying keywords. There have been a lot of things said about google's highest paying keywords. Some claim to get as much as $40 per click. Understand this. While these ads may exist, chances are the average webmaster will never be able to lay claim to them. I will explain why later.

2. Testing ad placement is critical to being successful as an adsense publisher- While you could get lucky by placing your ad in the most optimum place on your web page, the professional adsense publishers understand that there is always room to tweak that ad and squeeze a few more clicks out of it. This not only involves testing where on the page the ad should be placed. This also includes the areas surrounding the ad in question as well.

The professional webmaster may ask, what if I place the ad next to this picture?

What if I change the border of the ad to a different color to make it more prominent?

What if I place the ad in a section of the header?

Ad placement is key to squeezing out the most clicks per visitor.

3. An optimized page will generate the proper ads- An adsense professional understands that in order to get the best ads, his content must be contextually inline with the advertisement being offered. This context starts with a web compliant page, moves through the title tag and description and finally, is littered with keywords, both semantic and primary. An optimized page will allow google to match the right ads with the right visitor.

4. Targeted traffic is key to making a lot of money with adsense- It is not enough to generate traffic. The professional adsense publisher knows that while traffic may be key, the best kind of traffic is traffic that is looking for a solution to a problem. If the traffic is not targeted right, the result will be a lower CTR to the ads. If the CTR gets too low, the site will be smart priced and serve up lower paying ads. How can you tell if you are smart priced? If you are getting .05-.10 per click, then chances are google has deemed your site not as targeted as it should be.

These 4 adsense tips are the top suggestions that I, as an internet marketer, would make to someone who is looking to make money online with adsense. Making money with adsense is easy, sure. But making the money that the professional adsense marketers make is much harder and requires more skill than simply building a site and waiting for the money to roll in.
