If you have not yet realised, the internet is a breeding ground for innovative money-making and sharing ideas. Helium is a great one- it gives you an opportunity to express yourself and find an audience that you otherwise would not have, all while giving you a share of the advertising revenue. What is more, this revenue continues and builds over time. This is really the trick, building a residual and automated income for yourself. Making your own website is probably the best way to do this. Short of ideas? Never mind, why not just make a website about making money on the internet? I have noticed that these sites are in lots of places now, perform a random search or specifically for one of my favourites like internetpioneers.co.uk or walletboosters.com. What these sites do is list ways to make money, and earn a commission or a referral if you sign up to a money-making site via their link. This article will do pretty much the same thing, but without links and not much opportunity for profit.

Seeing as you are, it seems sensible to begin with writing for money. Ways other than writing on Helium to earn include blogging, posting and reviewing. All of these are quite simple, and pretty much as you think they would be. Blogging involves publishing your own blog, attracting sponsors or getting affiliate commissions. This is achievable for everyone who know anything. Posting is simply posting comments on prepared sites, participating in the reading and production of topics and so on. It pays pretty well and consistently, but is oddly not as easy as it seems. Getting paid to review products can be very profitable and enjoyable if you do it right. Just sign up to a product-review site, write some concise, clear and enjoyable reviews, and you will start earning. The site earns from affiliate commissions, whether you are recommending the product or not.

Fulfilling surveys is the classic way to earn money online. There are lots of very reputable and free sites around that can give you infrequent opportunities to both vent your opinion and make a little extra money. The survey panels that promise you a full time income require money from you to join in the first place, though some are suspected scams, others do deliver on their promise of a genuine stay-at-home job. Is that not the dream?

There are some money-making methods that are so easy, you have to do absolutely nothing to earn from them. Sites like MyHomePagesFriends pay you to use their search engine instead of Google's. A great idea, knowing how much the executives of Google are worth for doing very little. Surfbars simply place a line of adverts at the top/bottom of your computer screen whenever you are online, paying you for the privilege. Investment-autosurfing has made a few people some money, but not many. Free-autosurfing has made more people money, but not much. There are even sites around now that aim at toppling money-making machines like myspace and facebook by giving you a little of that money back for being a member. Fantastic if you like these social networking sites.

GPT/PTC sites you either love or hate, but there is no reason not to try them. You can earn money in the rawest way, clicking on adverts and viewing them. Getting paid to actually sign up for sites can make lots of money, but can get tiresome pretty quickly if its not for you. As can the repetitive clicking of getting paid to surf, but it does not bother me, I love it.

Beyond this, people are constantly coming up with new and exciting ways to make money online and filter some of that down through to you. Maybe you are thinking of one right now, probably not, but certainly if you tried looking you might find new things that you can both enjoy and make money from.
