My trust in you departed
Like a wisp into the air.
How strange that was!
Was it ever really there?
You have earned my enmity
And I no longer care
I've someone else these days
With whom I choose to share
You'll no longer hurt me
I'm not going to give you that power
Exclude you from my domain
Be safe inside my secret tower
Close to myself I'll hold
Things so petty just before
Now all too painful for me to share
When things got all so raw.
Yes, I have my secrets
And if I want to cry
I'll not give you the satisfaction
Of ever knowing why.

Poetry: Hidden truth
You've excavated my essence
You've dug into my being
Like an archaelogical expedition
You've found fossils I don't want you
The cat that swallowed the canary
Thought the flavor was sweet and airy
He devoured it whole and thought no one would know

Disguises
Caped and veiled;
Dare one ask
Who wears this mask?
Wreathed in smiles;
Dare one look
Into these eyes?

There's a Mystery
There's a mystery...about me
That I am not willing to tell
Others see what they want to see
But there's more
Behind the news...
Money and power will always dictate
what "truths" we, the people, are fed
and to further their cause
