"The Prayer"
God show me your mercy
As only you can do
Fill me with your strength and forgiveness
And open the doors I need to pass through
Take away all the pain
Of my harbored doubts and fears
Only you can erase
The lines that have appeared
Cover my heartaches
With your compassion of warmth
Melt the dark deceit that surrounds me
Into your purest snow
Lead me with the right decisions
That I need to choose
Not my will to be done
For mine has become black and blue
Show your power through my life
From my life's stepping stones
So others won't tread
The path I have known
Belonging to your grace
Is the only treasure I need
For it was you who burst forth the fountain
Of sparkling words of seed
Give me the courage not to give up
For love shouldn't be afraid to care
I am just a simple beacon
Of one light you have chosen to share
