In today's busy world, we often forget to enjoy some quiet time to ourselves. Now that the rush of the holiday season is over, we can finally breathe for a minute. How about starting the new year right with a night of pure pampering? Whether you choose to spa it alone or invite the girls over for a spa party, it's important to treat yourself every once in awhile. It is truly a rewarding and rejuvenating experience.
Yes, you can give yourself a manicure and a pedicure. Who cares if it doesn't turn out exactly like it would at a salon. It's the actual doing it that matters. And it is a fun way to relax. There are many affordable at home kits available at drug stores and even at your local Target. Check out Ms. Manicure and Ms. Pedicure kits. They include everything you need to give yourself an at home manicure and pedicure. Who knows, you might wind up impressing yourself with your nail salon capabilities! And of course you will have yourself to thank.
Facial. Did someone say facial? You know you want to. You have seen advertisements for facials. You have read and heard from friends about the rewards of having a facial. And in the back of your mind, you wanted to have one but never found the time to. Well, now is the time. Your face will thank you. All you really need is a few facial products that you might already own. First wash your face with your daily facial cleanser, then exfoliate, apply a hot towel to your face, then apply a facial mask, (you can either buy one at your local drug store or make your own), and then moisturize. If you want to make your own, check out the internet for recipes. A facial is one of the most rejuvenating experiences. It makes your whole body feel good and it really benefits your skin.
Don't stop there, why not give yourself a whole day at the spa in the comfort of your own home. Dye your hair. Why not? If you are going to treat yourself, then you might as well go all out. Be bold. Play around with your makeup and create a smokey eye look. Don't forget the red lipstick. Take pictures of the new you. You are worth it. Make yourself feel beautiful on the inside and out. Try a seaweed body wrap, a sea salt scrup or a sea mud body mask. The recipes for these at home body treatments are just a google search away. If that doesn't sound fabulous enough, there are even at home massage kits that you and a special friend can give one another. The ever popular hot stone massage can be bought as a kit in book stores such as Borders. What a truly rewarding experience. The possiblities are endless. You can pamper yourself from head to toe. This will make you feel relaxed, rejuvenated and refressed. Don't forget to listen to music that is tranquil and peaceful. It will heighten the experience and leave your body yearning for more. So make it a habit. You deserve it.
There are countless ways to pamper yourself. And all of them offer a rewarding experience not only for your body, but for your mind and soul as well. Let's face it, sometimes you just need to stop what you are doing and revive yourself. It will bring back your sanity and feed your starving inner self while making your inside match your gorgeous outside. Who knew being beautiful was good for you?
