Ode To Violet

The girl with blue eyes

Who toys with the cat

Is a rare breed of woman

I guarantee you that

Her long flowing locks

Hued a bright shade of red

Hides the once blonde hair

On that pretty head

A mischievous look

And light in her eye

Reveals the world

According to Vi

A spiritual soul

Engaging in chat

Has brought light-hearted laughter

To this tiny flat

When all of our chat

Is done for the day

And my spirit's uplifted

In some special way

I give thanks for the sun

That shines in the sky

And thanks for the world
