One might ask, "What can the Better Business Bureau (BBB) do for us?" First, I might mention, the BBB is not a government agency, nor does it have any law enforcement powers whatsoever. There are 120 independent BBB offices across the country to help to serve communities. These BBB's helps the consumers and businesses with information, dispute resolution, and business self-regulations programs. There's several important things the BBB can do for us as customers and as businesses. It provides several types of service to businesses and consumers. The BBB's local and national organizations were set up to assist consumers to check out and screen businesses, file complaints, learn valuable information about finance situations, travel, credit, and provide other information pertaining to particular businesses.

It is a non-profit organizations funded through the membership of more than 270,000 businesses across the country. It's mission is to promote and support high ethical relationships between businesses and the public through its voluntary self-regulations, consumers and business education, and service excellence.

The BBB also provides excellent straight forth advice via pamphlets, articles, and publications. If you are interested in BBB's Website, it contains numerous articles from A to Z for all sizes of businesses and for various situations. View there site for various particulars. http://www.bbb.org/alerts/tips.asp.

The BBB provides consumers with articles on automobiles, family, finance/credit, charities, computer/internet, health, products, scams, special other service and travel.

The BBB provides businesses with articles about businesses, business ethics, and on the International Torch/Award. This award is given away every year to businesses of high ethics in the world of business.

If you are a member of the BBB you can reap all of the benefits to a prestigious and worthwhile organization. The BBB desires to assist consumers and business alike with Business Reports, Dispute Resolutions, Charity Reports, Consumer Information, Fighting Fraud, and Online "Trustmark." Any time you desire to check a business out, please check with the BBB, I believe you'll get some fine information from any one of their 120 independent office across the country.
