Remember those Sundays when you spent two hours clipping coupons from the insert section of your newspaper? These days, few people have time; yet still we'd all like to get in on great deals for groceries and other items. So what can we do to save money?

In this article, we'll look at five websites that will help save you money at the grocery store and beyond. And, you don't have to pay a thing to participate.

AOL Shortcuts.com
AOL's Shortcuts.com is an amazing (and very cool) next-generation grocery discount website that allows you to go completely paperless by electronically downloading the coupon directly to your grocery store rewards card. While it sounds impossible, I tested Shortcuts.com's service by downloading a coupon to my Kroger card. Just a couple of hours later, I picked up my sale items, handed the cashier my shopping card, and sure enough, the coupon was redeemed.

Coupons.com
Coupons.com offers online coupons that you can print at home and take to your grocery store to be redeemed. The site's interface is user-friendly and after typing in your zip code, it immediately displays relevant coupons for your area. While you don't necessarily have to register with Coupons.com to use their service, signing up on the site allows you to receive e-mails for special savings offers. Additionally, you can search for and view recipes. Be sure to copy the RSS feed at the top of the page into your favorite RSS reader to get the latest in savings.

ShopAtHome.com
How would you like to get paid to shop online? ShopAtHome.com is an established website that features a revenue-sharing model with its members in a special arrangement with over 2,000 stores including J.C. Penney, Dell, and Wal-Mart. In the row of tabs at the top of the ShopAtHome.com home page, click the Free Coupons tab to view featured store coupons of the week, shopper favorite coupons, and a special Flash message from the ShopAtHome.com lady at the bottom of the page. When you're done, click the Grocery Coupons tab in the row of tabs at the top of the page to view and print a wide variety of manufacturer's coupons.

MyGroceryDeals.com
MyGroceryDeals.com is a highly useful savings portal that displays sale items from your local grocery store flyers. MyGroceryDeals.com also features a Coupon Gallery where you can print coupons at home and redeem them at your favorite grocery store. You can also view nutritional information, create a printable and e-mailable shopping list of sale and non-sale items, and view featured items.

Coolsavings.com
Founded in 1996, Coolsavings.com offerers subscribers coupons that you can print at home and bring to the grocery store to redeem. Over the years, the site has evolved into a money-saving information portal with links to free stuff, online coupons for your web purchases, price comparisons, and coupons not just for groceries but department stores and other retailers as well. You'll also get special offers, rebates, travel discounts, and daily deals sent directly to your inbox.
