Before this recent election I did have trust in the processes for counting votes. ACORN changed my opinion. Though the ACORN workers were not the vote counters, they did in fact encourage a multitude of people to cast illegal ballots for payment, and or favors.
This last election turned out to be quite a powerful lesson for myself and my children as these ACORN workers, who were supposed to be an organization to encourage people to get out and vote, bribed people to vote their way. The leaders made many public statements explaining that Obama was their man and everyone in ACORN had a duty to get as many votes for their guy as possible.
The real trouble for me peaked when a Fox News correspondent reported on a story of people being scared away from the polls by Black Panther members, dressed in black military uniforms. One of the Black Panthers were escorted away by police for having a club which he was using to intimidate voters, however the other panther was left to guard the door and make threatening comments as voters approached. Now for me, that was like looking at the work done by the KKK to keep black people from exercising their right to vote. Obama still hasn't spoken about this incident and neither have the liberal media, though if the black and white had been reversed, or if Obama wasn't their personal star,
The incident left me wondering how much scrutiny would be given by the vote counters inside, if they were allowing such harrassment to take place right outside their door. It was a disgusting event that is now burned into my mind.
When you have groups like ACORN registering the Dallas Cowboys in Nevada and Mickey Mouse in Florida and the authorities doing little to stop the nation wide fraud perpetrated by this organization, coupled with the Black Panthers being allowed to scare away voters, black or white who were not planning on voting for Obama, it makes the hanging chad situation from a few years ago seem like a tea party.
In order to make the process fair and reliable, there should be equal numbers of Democrats and Republicans overseeing the polls and there should never be any intimidation allowed on or near any polling place in this country. If we cannot trust our election officials at individual polling places, how can we possibly have any faith in the outcome of our elections?
I have hope that most people want fair elections in this country to once again be put in place. However, at this point in time, with so much illegal and improper goings on regarding the registration of Mickey and Goofy, intimidation at the polls, and the fact that the popular vote in the Dem's primary meant nothing, I do not believe that every vote counted or mattered.
