There are various motives for irregular menstrual cycles. There is nothing to be concerned about. This happens quite often. The body is a complex machine and will postpone certain functions for self protection. It is a form of self preservation. When the equilibrium in the body is unbalanced this can contribute to delayed periods. Once the balance is restored it will return. Below are some of the things that can cause missed or deferred cycles.
SICKNESS
Sickness will affect your period. The body may prevent your menstrual cycle from coming to protect you. Your body knows the limit. Because the body is weak, it will delay your cycle until you regain your strength. You would become more ill if you began losing blood which reduces your iron as well.
STRESS
Stress can influence numerous things in our lives, as well as our periods. Sometimes we are in the midst of so much stress that our body lowers the amount of a hormone (GnRH), which enables us not to menstruate.
MODIFICATION IN TREATMENT
Changing medications can affect the activity in our bodies. It may change the chemical balance in our bodies and this may cause a delay in ovulation.
BEING OVER HEAVY
Supporting to much heaviness can hormonally alter your cycles and even prevent them.
BEING UNDERWEIGHT
Not weighing enough can prevent your cycle from coming because your body needs a specific amount of fat to ovulate every month. When the period stops this condition is called amenorrhea. Also, because your body loses iron every time it has a cycle, it needs the weight as well.
INACCURACY
The menstrual cycle differs from woman to woman. It is not the same for anyone. Most professionals say the median menstrual phase is 28 days long that is not correct for everyone. There are times when our period is tardy basically because we miscounted the days. This often happens because of our busy schedules.
MENOPAUSE
Menopause is defined as the period in a women's life when she is no longer fertile or with eggs. She no longer has a period because she has simply run out of eggs. There are times when woman go through this as early as 26 years of age. It can last as long as 7 years. It depends on the woman.
PREGNANCY
If you are pregnant you will not have a period. Once your egg joins with a sperm, the deal is done. You will not see your period for some time.
These are some of the reasons your menstrual cycle might be interrupted.
