Sometimes a person may think their home is haunted but the evidence eventually advises that the weird occurrences are caused by something explainable. But there are those who cannot explain unusual occurrences that continue to happen, having them wonder if their house may be haunted.

If you think your house may be haunted, following are some common signs that may lead you to believe your home or office is actually experiencing a haunting.

COMMON SIGNS OF HAUNTING AND GHOST ACTIVITY

The following signs of a home that is haunted are experienced often and by many people. They are also usually the first sign that will tell you there may be paranormal activity within your living space.

~Opening and closing of doors

Doors to rooms or cupboards that open and close of their own free will and without any assistance from wind are common. Most often you will enter a room to discover a cupboard or door open or closed when you did not leave it like that. Most people rarely witness this event happening unless the haunting is much stronger.

~Unusual or unexplained noises

Many people report of unusual noises occurring. These can be footsteps, the sound of banging, rapping on the walls or the sound as though something has been dropped. Sometimes they can be very loud and unmistakable.

~Electrical Disturbances

Many people report of strange occurrences with electrical items such as televisions radios or lights.

~Animals acting out of character

It is a fact that animal's senses are more tuned than that of their human companions and they often detect paranormal activity before a human does. When an animal begins acting strange, such as barking or growling at unseen objects, frightened of entering rooms or cowers for no reason and does so often, there may be paranormal activity within the home.

STRONGER EVIDENCE GHOST ACTIVITY IS OCCURING

With the common signs above, many people rarely witness the actual presence of a spirit but know something is just not right within their home.

But there are some spirits or haunts that have the ability to make their presence known by using stronger methods to communicate.

Following is some examples pf strong evidence that suggests your home may be haunted.

~Cold and Hot spots

Minor cold spots caused by the atmosphere or a draft is noticeable to many, but severe drops in temperature occurring may be signs there exists a haunting.

~Witnessing objects moving

When a person actually witnesses an object moving or gliding through the air, this is a sign that there is strong kinetic energy present.

~Hearing voices

Many people report they can hear voices or cries, sometimes their name being spoken.

~Feelings of being touched

When a person is feeling the touch of an unknown source, this is clear evidence that a haunting may exist. A common report in a haunting is the feeling of someone sitting on a bed, or feeling a hand on the shoulder or feel his or her hair being touched.

~Physical sightings of a spirit

The human eye can also see a spirit that has the ability to show itself. When a person physically witnesses a ghost, sometimes they can look just like the living but can walk through walls or doors and become transparent at other times.

If you have been experiencing some of the signs above and have ruled out any possible reasoning behind the occurrences, then your home may be haunted. More often than not the living learn to live with their ghostly companions but seek help from professional paranormal investigators if you feel this is required.
