I could turn this into a debate on the exact meaning of certain words.Extraterrestrial; Not of this planet. God; Omnipotent Being, Not Human. Like it or not folks if we use a strict definition of these words, the God that the bible talks about can only be extraterrestrial.
Some may choose to interpret the meaning of these words but the simple truth is that we weren't created by humans, therefore we must have been created by something not of this planet, Extraterrestrial.
Of course this is bypassing the entire Evolutionary aspect of creation, when you look at the odds of us arriving where we are purely from evolution it's easy to disregard that argument. I bring this up only to acknowledge that there is another point of view. If I thought those odds ever came off I would live in Vegas.
Obviously we don't need any proof to back up our argument as the Bible itself has existed for thousands of years without a shred of proof. The simple fact that my argument can't be disproved should be enough for Christians to jump on board and believe. Sorry couldn't help but have a dig, faith is a wonderful thing isn't it.
The real question we should be asking is 'Does it matter?'. Whether we were created by God or Extraterestrials they have played no part on our lives since, that we are aware of. This would indicate that either we have not passed a test or there is no test to pass and we are on our own. We are so sure that there should be a reason for all of this, maybe we are wrong. This belief that there is something greater at work is the whole premise of the bible. We are all part of something bigger than ourselves. Of course this is true even if God does not exist.
Perhaps the idea is that instead of idealising our creator and wanting to meet them we should be striving to be their equal. If we were created in the image of our creator then wouldn't it be logical to assume that emulating them in all aspects would be the end goal. This is what I choose to believe and what I strive for. Regardless of who the creator is we clearly have a long way to go before we attain their level of knowledge and self understanding.
My advice is that we should not let the details get in the way, we are all here to find our place in this universe, to grow as humans and evolve into something far beyond our current understanding. Enjoy the journey and try looking forward instead of back. The view is better.
