Besides the names mentioned above, a few other famous Indianans include Anne Baxter, actress; Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., author; David Letterman, late-night talk show host/comedian; Drake Hogestyn, actor who's best known for his role as John Black on "Days of our Lives"; Larry Bird, HOF basketball player; Marilyn Miller, actress, singer, and tap-dancer; Jim Davis, cartoonist; Harland Sanders, founder of KFC; Mike Epps, comedian; Bob Griese, former NFL quarterback; Marjorie Main, character actress; Rex Grossman, NFL quarterback; Dan Quayle, 44th Vice President, serving under former President George H.W. Bush (1989-93); and J.J. Johnson, jazz trombonist.
All in all, the state of Indiana has produced many famous people (who have done incredible things throughout their lives) and the ones that are mentioned herein demonstrate that. Not only have they accomplished a lot, but they have left behind an imprint that will always be remembered. Perhaps some may serve as influential figures for upcoming stars.
