Poetry: Rape

by Michelle Gilmour

Violation

How many creepy hands touched me

How do I deal

Not knowing what was done to me

A lesson learned

You can't trust anyone

Chemicals are weapons for the weak

What the hell did you give me

And who the hell are you

Scratches and bite marks will heal

But the damage is done

It's sad that you have to rape to be satisfied

And even though you may have slipped through the corrupt justice system

You are persecuted, trust me

Karma will catch up to you one way or another
