Yes I do believe in life after death.
We all have the right to an opinion, don't we? I feel very sad for individuals who think that when we die we don't go anywhere except back to dust, how unimaginative, how arrogant, do they think because we are the strongest and most intelligent animal on the planet earth that we have the divine right to decide that there is nothingness! After death, don't you ever think that when we make decisions, they are for a reason, a means to an end, we all have plans, dreams and hopes, what do you think gives us that drive, ambition and motivation, if there is nothing else why bother, it seems such a waste of time and effort, why don't we just eat, and kill to survive like every other animal. Even the most ardent none believer turns to God on his death bed, he is afraid because of his none belief yet he may ask God to receive him.
So even if you are an evolutionist and believe that we have evolved form an omeba, why should that happen, science is what we are all about, it is so close to the basis of every other belief, it has to be, you cant have one without the other, like hand in glove. I watched a documentary on television recently about a woman who had to physically be pronounced dead before they could carry out vital brain surgery, she was clinically dead for hours, yet she recalled many wonderful things whilst she was under, there was no oxygen going to her brain so there could not be any chemical activity what so ever, this was investigated using scientific methods and the scientists didn't have any answers. So I say if a cynic can give me a rational explanation for this I would be grateful. I am an open minded person and like a good debate with respect to this subject.
My beliefs are based on my own experiences when I was 26yrs old, I was very ill and unconscious in hospital, I could hear everything that was said by the nurses and doctors and I knew when my family were around me, they said I was dying, I went on a journey, down a tunnel, I was on my back out of my body, as I looked up it was as if I was looking at a big screen with a video on fast forward, and yes there was a brilliant light at the end with a very fine line - beyond that point where several figures, one approached me and held out his/her hand. They told me that it wasn't my time and that I had to go back, I had four children my youngest was only two weeks old, I was told that I had a job to do and although I felt a wonderful euphoric and calm feeling I knew
