Wedding craft ideas for saving money

Well, if you are getting married at some point soon, congratulations! Secondly, there is a lot of planning to be done and you should really crack on with it!

If you are planning on trying to save some money at this expensive occasion, why not try making your own bridal bouquets and bridesmaid flowers? This can not only help to lower the cost of your special day, but can make for a great bonding session with your bridesmaids and other family members, and you will also be able to come up with a unique bridal bouquet that is designed to meet every one of your tastes!

The first thing to do is to look in every bridal magazine, hotel table, florist and internet site to get ideas and basic design structures for your bridal bouquet. The more ideas that you can get together, the easier it will be to come up with a design that not only works, but that you will love.

Secondly, work out what colours you want for your bridal bouquet. If you have a red and ivory dress, you may want to consider having red and cream flowers in your bouquet. The one thing you must remember is that certain flowers will only be readily available at certain times of the year, so make sure that the flowers you want will be available without having to pay extravagant costs.

Once you have worked out the colour of your flowers, you should make a sketch of the basic outline of the design that you want. This will make it much easier to make when you come to put it all together. Do you want a long and flowing bouquet, or a shorter and compact one? Drawing your design will make it easier for you to work out whether or not the design will work.

Once you know what shape and style you want your bridal bouquet, you must then work out what materials you want. Do you want real flowers or fake flowers? Real flowers will not only look better and smell better, but fake ones will last forever and can look as realistic as their living counterparts. Once you have worked this out, what actual flowers will you want in your bouquet? Roses or lilies? Carnations or orchids? The choice is yours and this can sometimes be a rather difficult one.

Once you know exactly what you want from your bridal bouquet, the only way in which you can make sure that it is as perfect as you want it to be is to practice over and over again until you have found the look that you want. From this point onwards, making the bouquet is down to you and if you have any more problems, consult a florist, a family member or friend or look on the internet.
