Songs: Holding onto love

by Sophi De Rossett

Created on: January 06, 2009

your kiss tastes like my past;

the past i want to let go.

but with an apologetic embrace

the light on our faces with grow.

you're my drug, my heroin...

how cliche and how divine.

I'll never let you go even when I know

our stars will shine.

my heart breaks, my mind shouts.

"your dream is tuning in and you're running out?!"

why be afraid? this is what you've made.

the morning light is pouring in

and we're saying good night.

I don't have a brave heart to say it

but this is good bye.

and my tears are running down your shoulders

in protest of the fight.

Because who knew those five hours could be the best of my life?

Take my hand and we'll take to the wind.

I'm going now- you're holding out- and I want to stay; I wanna be.

You've got no need to be living for me.

Hi. How are you?

Goodbye. I miss you.

This is me. I love you.

What is our world coming to?

Are we winning the good fight

or are we starting to lose?

Whatever it is,

I just want it all with you.
