Many people who shop for loved ones and others consider buying them some sort of electronic, Today the mp3 players have gained a lotof popularity in the electronics market. Typical mp3 players are from brands like: Sony, Phillips, and the much sought after Apple IPOD. In this article I will mention some of the more intricate things when buying and what to look for when shopping for an MP3 player.

At a typical electronics retailer like Best buy or Wal-Mart you will see a whole section of the store devoted to MP3 players, They will usually vary in shape, color and the space that they have. First off when you buy these its important to consider exactly how you or whoever you are buying it for will use it. Some examples are: What environment do they live in? Will they travel a lotwith it? or Will it be used for exercise? If you know any of these things it can help reduce the decision making to only a couple of players.

First we will consider the crowd favorite, The Apple IPOD. Now in this arena there are still quite a few players to consider because as you may or may not already know since the development of the Ipod there have been many other Mp3 players that are technically considered "Ipods", but for this time we will only consider the IPOD classic. The IPOD classic is designed for the semi-tech savvy, it boasts up to 120GB hard drive, a weight of only 4.9 ounces and a 320 by 240 pixel resolution display. These specs alone make it an ideal candidate for a gift or for yourself. What you need to know is what if you don't need that much space or you only plan to use it for music only? For Ipods you may want to consider the Ipod shuffle, The shuffle is an Ipod for the budget friendly crowd or if you just want music. The shuffle can come in a variety of colors and boasts one or two gigabyte flash drive for memory. This makes it strongly recommended for gifting. All in all The Ipod is an excellent choice for your everyday activities.

Now we will take a look at players from Sony and Phillips. We will start with Sony, Sony has made an MP3 player called the Walkman. The Walkman boasts a four gigabyte hard drive and a highly colorful screen that makes it perfect for videos, Also it is very good when wanting some exercise music at the gym as it is classified as sport friendly. This alone sets it apart from many others. Now for Phillips, the most popular one is the Philips GoGear MP3 player which sports a sleek design and up to two gigabytes of memory. This model is designed for sports use also making it a hard decision when it comes down to it, My professional opinion makes me go with the Phillips GoGear because it is user friendly and cost effective.

So when you are looking for one of these MP3 players, make sure to consider these choices as they are all excellent choices for music and other features.
