Aw romance! What a wonderful experience;candle light dinner on a sandy beach under a moon lite sky ....what more could you ask for? Perhaps the sounds of soft jazz playing off in the distance, the sounds of the waves rolling over the wet ocean sands!
You lean across the table, a little starry eyed and say," by the way I would like to talk to you about my romantic past. H'm. I,for one, would be a little taken back, if not for the moment, than perhaps for the entire night and the sounds of soft jazz would soon turn to the rumblings of noisy traffic as the thought of leaving crept into my mind....Check Please!
And if I chose to sit and quitly listen I might ,in all likely hood, be chewing down ,somewhat hard, on my New York steak, wondering, hopefully not out loud; "why does she want to tell me about her romantic past?..."is there some hidden message that I need to decipher?...what possible motive could she have for wanting to tell me about Jim, Josh or Suzy?.
I would hope that you would chose any other topic than you're romantic tales because if I were on a sandy beach under a moon lit sky, I am quite certain I am there to enjoy this moon lit dinner with you and not you're past romantic partners....Check Please!
The New York steak finished,my thoughts adrift in the soft sounds of jazz playing off in the distance, I might decide to join the conversation. But what should I talk about? Perhaps, let me see....aw yes, MY Own Romantic Past.
Depending on my mood , which after eating a rather large New York steak cooked with the utmost care so to preserve its natural goodness, would be in all likely hood be agreeable and pleasant but I might also feel a little competitive after haven heard about Jim Josh and other characters of you're romantic past. Being in a somewhat competitive mood I might create a few romantic tales of my own.Tales, that would rival, not only those of you're romatic outings but ,in all like hood would, those of most fictional characters. You're reaction....Check Please!
Well, the night has ended. You have told me about you're romatic past and I ,in a somewhat exaggerated way , have told you about my romatic past. So what have we accomplished? For me this was an opportunity to exercise my imagination. .... And for you? I am not sure I have an answer.
I imagine that on you're next romatic outing, you and you're soul mate may, under a starry night with the sounds of soft jazz playing off in the distance, chose to dance the night away and you're reactions won't be......CHECK PLEASE!
