Do tabloids go too far to get news stories

Yes, I do think that sometimes the tabloids do go too far, and the paparazzi get hold of some information that is very minute, and blow it out of proportion. I do agree with the fact that once celebrities become famous they have virtually sold their souls, and therefore they will never really be free of the tabloids. The tabloids though go a little too far and sometimes even go to the extent of speaking lies or ill of a particular celebrity. This is very damaging to the person's self-image and can lead to other social and mental problems.

Celebrities also can never really have a normal life as they are always in the public eye. The stories I find especially annoying are the ones in the magazines when you see the famous people going on normal errands, and wearing the odd jeans and T-shirts. The press then take them to the cleaners and post them as the worst dressed people. How many of us have gone out to perform normal errand in our jeans and T-shirts? This is normal. No one can be well dressed twenty four hours a day. if they are, they have serious issues, and probably worry too much what people think. Celebrities are people too, and have feelings.

The case of Britney Spears and Amy Wine house is equally distressing. The press has taken their pain and turned it into a circus. Britney had some very serious issues, as well as a mental condition that needed professional help. Amy has brought most of her problems onto herself, but this still does not give the press the right to completely leave her without a shred of dignity. The case of Britney Spears is equally damaging to people close to her as they are forced to continuously see her in that state, all because the tabloids keep taking pictures of her for the whole world to see. The girl would probably have recovered sooner if she was not broken by the press so often.

The children of the stars also suffer. They are constantly in the gaze of the public eye, and this can put a lot of pressure on them. This can also lead to serious self image problems, and bring on conditions like bulimia , and anorexia. Celebrities have also been known to lose their temper, and the constant gaze of the public eye can bring over huge bouts of depression. Their lives can never be private as the whole world watches every move they make. There is a lot of money to be made in the tabloid business, and they can get pictures to sell for a lot of money, thereby making the photographer very rich. But is it a moral or completely ethical business? I think not. It is not a very respected business either, and has broken many families, and lives up.
