Content: Building a Solid Foundation to Success
When designing a website, it's important to have solid content that will help sell your ideas and persuade potential clientle. Without doing proper research on your market, you could be missing out on chances for a higher conversion rate if you neglect your own writing and research. When we use the articles of others, we give our users something to read, but what is really accomplished?
Nobody knows how to sell what you're selling better than you do. If copywriting acts like a sales pitch to our end users, make sure you've got a sales pitch that's working overtime. Lay out the benefits to your products and services as only you know how. Time and time again, personal testimonials have sold products because of their ability to outline the unfamiliar. Draw the readers in and reassure them by outlining what you do and how you do it.
Copywriting is about selling an idea. If the idea is yours it will be difficult to find someone else to rephrase that idea and package it. It's important for you to develop a knack for article writing as it will help you get your point across more effectively. Use terminology specific to the market to qualify yourself and challenge the readers preconceptions about the market.
Article writing is not a simple process, and revisions will help you see wholes in your ideas. It's important to bring things full circle. I like to think of articles as the process of telling a story. The story is almost always the same, "this is who I was until I found magic product/service "X". Because X is so easy to use and features all of this neat stuff, I am a new person." Of course, sales letters do differ, but this standard format can act as a nifty beginning to any and all desperate article writers looking for a proper place to begin.
Remember that articles are a facet of your website and are judged by your users. Make sure they are in pristine condition. Take the time out of your day to fix typos and ensure proper grammar. When your users see a website that has content that sounds qualified and professional, you'll be glad you did. A typo may not make or break a sale, but imagine how that reflects upon your website. These minor issues are a sign of laziness and a lack of concern for your work.
Take time and form your own articles. The process can be time consuming, but when the users find articles tailored to fit your sit instead of generic articles written by someone else, you may see a higher conversion rate. Professionalism is one of the many aspects of a good Internet marketer, so bring that professionalism to your website with well written copy that addresses your market.
