Efficient leadership is created by a leader who:
A. Makes others feel important
Emphasize their strengths and contributions
Keep the attention off themselves
B. Promotes a vision
People know what is expected to reach the goal
C. Follows the golden rule
Treat others as you want to be treated
D. Admits mistakes
If you do they will not try to cover up their errors and you can then go forward with confidence and trust
E. Criticizes others only in private
Does this need to be explained?
F. Stays Close to the action
Be available, be visible, communicative, but remember don't micro-mange! You are the message!
G. Makes a game of competition
Set goals, rewards, publicize, celebrate successes
H. Motivates - a leaders main responsibility
Move someone to action; an ongoing process, not a singular event
I. Creates A Vision, A Mission, A Direction

K. Sets Goals: If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there. A goal is simply a dream with a deadline!
Whether your goals include raising funds, increasing membership or helping others, your goals set your path.
Goals: Let the vision of your goal lead to success. More by your enthusiasm than by any proof you can offer.

Prior planning prevents poor performance

Laying out a real vision puts a spark under people
Be sure you understand them!
Can you explain them decisively?
Don't micro-manage!
Let leaders' lead, and take responsibility. Inability to delegate is the number one cause of failure! Reinforce your goals, don't intimidate, promote the big picture. Share a vision, share activities, share decision making and above all, lead by example! Remember, the more credit you give away, the more that will come back to you.
Have and show passion for what you are doing. Is what you are doing a stepping stone to greater accomplishments?
