Internet gives lots of opportunities for freelance writers to utilize their penchant for writing and make some money out of it. At the outset, it should be understood that you may not be able to make a living out of such earnings and you can't afford to leave your full time job to sit at home and keep writing at Internet websites. But, you can definitely spare your free time productively by writing freelance at various web-sites and earn cash.
What are the various methods of making money?
(1) Make Money Through "Google Adsense" Revenue Sharing Web-sites:
A typical example is the site, Hubpages.com. You write your articles there; Google will place "topic related ads" by the side of your articles and you get 50% of revenue generated by the "clicks" on the ads by any visitor coming, reading your article and noticing any "interesting" ads to click at them..
There are quite a number of web sites that accept your articles in a similar fashion and they may share with you anywhere from 25% to 60% of Adsense revenues with you. (Examples: squidoo.com, writingcampus.com etc).
The payment comes to you directly from Google (once your revenue crosses 100$).
(2) Make Money Though "Payment Per Page Views":
Typical examples are websites like Helium.com, Associatedcontent.com, Triond.com, suite101.com etc. These sites too publish your articles and they get their revenue through various ads appearing beside your articles (including Google Adsense). But they pay you at the rate of "some amount per 1000 page views". For example, the rate per 1000 page views paid by Associatedcontent.com is about 1.5 dollars (minimum).
(3) Make Money by Writing Reviews:
You can write brief reviews about some products, services which you are familiar with and if your write-up is found acceptable, you will be paid some amount (upto 2$) per review. An example for such a site is : reviewstream.com. There are also sites like sharedreviews.com which share their ad (adsense) revenues with you based on readership of your reviews.
(4) Make Money by Writing Articles Which Get Paid a Small Lump Sum Per Article:
A typical example is the site Helium.com, which offers upfront payments (0.5 to 2.5 dollars per article subject to certain conditions) under specific titles offered by them. Associatedcontent.com too pays in a similar way in their "calls for content" and also as "upfront payment" on articles that you can submit and they will scrutinize and pay you if found acceptable.
Another site that pays $10 per
