If I could only see the sunshine in your blue eyes again.
Feel the warmth of your young hand.
Lay in your arms as you caressed my hair.
If I could only have you here.
If I could only have torn down those walls.
Answered your desperate calls.
Said goodbye to the barriers in our way.
If I could only have you today.
If I could only have seen what was to come.
Known the pain of it when it was done.
Seen the tears before they were cried.
If I could only have tried.
If I could only turn back time.
You would still be mine.
I would no longer feel torment in my soul.
If I could only have learned to let go.

I would ask the face
