When you find it hard to raise your head
When you just want to step back and not look ahead
When being good enough just seems a lie
As it is hard to look the world right in the eye
Then it is time you started looking within you
It is time you looked around with eyes anew
And changed things before it is too late
To find that strength that lies hidden in wait
Like the phoenix rises from the burning ashes
Intact and complete, ready again to flourish
Revigorated to build and renew, so it can inherit
An earth that will be alive, filled with positive spirit

Poetry: Fighting spirit

Save It
I give to you this word
"Forever"
Take it please
I have no use for it
Such a emphatic word
Grossly over-used
And pledged
Finally she enters into normalcy they say.
Left behind the hell once gripped so tight.
She couldn't pray.
Is it what
He Is...
He is my Savior, my Redeemer, The only lamb of God.
I do not care what the world may think or even
We stand and wait for battle
The approaching army marches
Many men in sight
And many more will come
Tomorrow
Just a soldier,

When you just want to step back and not look ahead
When being good enough
