You have decided to divorce. So have I. Are you confused? So am I. I have gotten over the fact that I am actually divorcing, now it is time to move toward, getting divorced. I contacted an attorney and her fee was $350.00 an hour for consultation, wow! I am in the wrong career path. So after completing my phone call with her, I told her I would have to call her back. I proceeded to contact friends who have been divorced and once you get past their bitterness and hate for the spouse you are divorcing, write down the name of the attorney and make the call. I haven't heard from the attorney yet but decided to start my own research on getting a divorce.

My research begins on the Internet, divorce is overwhelming and not simple. The State of Pennsylvania has two types of divorce; amicable no-fault divorce and uncontested divorce. Amicable no-fault divorce saves the ordeal and costs associated with proving one party's wrong doing. An amicable divorce involves some contractual issues such as child support, alimony/spousal support, child custody and visitation rights. if the contractual issues cannot be resolved amicably contact a legal representative.Uncontested divorce is the route to go if you have no children, no home ownership and have accumulated few assets. This type of divorce is granted within 90 days if both parties file affidavits of consent and dissolution is straightforward.

North Carolinians who wish to divorce have to file and be separated from each other twelve consecutive months before divorce is granted. The two types of divorce in North Carolina are, Divorce from Bed and Board and Absolute Divorce.

Divorce from Bed and Board is a court authorized separation but it does not end the marriage. The couple remains married to each other and the court orders the couple to live separate and apart from each other. Divorce from bed and Board may be used to legally force or allow one spouse out of the marital residence and be protected from a charge of abandonment. This type of divorce is granted on the following grounds: willful abandonment of the family, malicious turning the other spouse out of doors (forcing them to leave) ; treating the other spouse in a cruel and barbarous manner and or endangering his or her life.; using drugs and or alcohol in excess; committing adultery and offering embarrassing or humiliating treatment to the other spouse rendering his or her condition intolerable.Once divorce from bed and board is granted, the spouse may live apart
