Earning writing stars on Helium

Earning writing stars takes quality writing and time at Helium. The criteria of writing stars is based on the quantity and the quality of your articles. To have quantity, one needs to have a certain number of articles and to write quality, one needs to be above average.

There are some simple ways, using which you can reach the five star. There are certain things which you can do to ensure that you get writing stars and maintain them.

One of the first things when trying to gain a writing star, is to write a set of 30-40 articles. Do this by writing two articles everyday. When you are doing this, write about titles that you know the most about. After you are done finishing an article, you will be taken to the rating page. If you are only interested in writing stars, then skip this page and get to another title. Two quality articles should only take an hour or so, depending on your typing speed and the availability of titles in which you specialize.

This should take you to two writing stars. If you don't have any writing star, then you need to visit the Helium forums. Visit the article critique section and post your worst ranked articles. Get feedback from Helium moderators and other writers and leapfrog the articles. Leapfrogging helps a lot when it comes to writing stars. Make sure you spell check your work and use proper grammar. Leapfrog one article per day and you should be well on your way to get three writing stars with a relatively high writing percentage.

* Note: Creative-Writing articles do not qualify for writing stars.

Everyone's goal is to reach the five star mark. To reach five stars, you need to continue writing two articles everyday and leapfrog one article per day. Getting writing stars doesn't have to be complicated. But, to write 500 articles you need to have a lot of knowledge about various topics. If you only know about one topic, then you are not going to be able to make it to the 500 article mark. What you need to do then, is to start researching or reading books from the library about different topics. You can also suggest titles related to anything that you can write about.

Read newspaper on daily basis, get books from the library and keep a passion for knowledge. Helium writers with 5 stars are knowledgeable about a lot of topics and you will never see a five-star writer with articles in only one channel.

These are the ways you can get writing stars. Remember it takes time, patience, writing skill and knowledge to become a starred writer at Helium.
