Here are my rankings for the top fantasy running backs for 2007-2008 knowing what we know now:

1) LaDainian Tomlinson - no way you can't rank him #1. He had a record-breaking season scoring TDs, and is a dual threat running and catching the ball.

2) Larry Johnson - he just set the NFL record for carries in a season, so you know he's going to get the ball. He's a tough, quick runner that is very good around the goal line. Definitely a great consolation prize if you get the #2 pick in the draft.

3) Brian Westbrook - the Eagles finally started giving him the ball and he showed what he can do. He's a great, elusive runner, but also one of the top pass catching running backs in the League. A standout performer that is a top back as long as the Eagles commit to giving him the ball.

4) Shaun Alexander - he had a down year in 2006, but that had a lot to do with injuries. He's a patient backs that picks his spots and finds the hole. He'll score TDs for you and rack up a lot of yards.

5) Stephen Jackson - He came into his own this year and moved onto to the next level as a RB. He's a great pass catcher as well as a reliable running back.
