Poetry: Hell

Hell

Why would someone,

Live to go to hell?

Where every thing's dead,

And the air is stale.

Where the demons roam,

And upon your skin they feast.

Satan's their master,

Such a horrid beast.

There's a heat so terrible,

You'll want to cry.

It will burn your flesh,

But you can never die.

There's a rabid thirst,

Unknown to man.

There's nothing to quench it,

In this land.

Your skin smells,

Like burnt coals.

The worms crawl,

And devour you whole.

Fire and brimstone,

Fill the air.

What would you give,

To not be there?

The screams of tortured,

And battered souls.

Can be heard,

As they pay their toll.

This land is evil,

Dried and cracked.

They come from every direction,

And attack.

Your sides are stabbed,

By a thousand swords.

They cut and scrape,

As the demons praise their lord.

There's no turning back,

There is no escape.

You realize the truth,

But it's too late.

Far from heaven,

Deeper than the earth.

You didn't lead a righteous life,

And now you face the curse.
