Making that break as a successful freelance writer can take ages as you have to network like you're making your way out of social pariah while mollifying frequent episodes of writers block. Another fundamental is writing for the right websites or sources as many of them scam you and don't quite take you places. The truth is that making it as a writer is almost like making it as an actor, director, or producer. Unfortunately it is always the creative fields that slap a price on your face as we all have such dreams or fantasies. So here's some advice pick up that magic pen and start writing. But before you do here's some tips on how you can speed to that delicious break!

Number one: Write, Write, Write, because nothing can perfect your skills better than practically applying it. The paper constantly awaits you so please don't brush it aside. And this is just a suggestion but it would be wiser to write down what you write rather than type it. It is always wiser to write with a bare naked mind, with the rest of your thoughts not pertaining to the subject discarded in your molecular trashcans. Proofreading what you've written a multiple times is also essentially critical as it is the foundation to being a good writer. It is a blessing for a writer to double check his work for errors while being self-critical all at the same time, making sure that his article bounces off the page. Because the truth is that this is what attracts the critics. You will always be judged based on your writing skills and techniques so don't take it personally because whether you like or not the peanut galleries will always remain a thorn up your alley, so here's a piece of advice: Learn to live with this thorn like it is a pet that you own because believe me it actually serves as a best friend for writers aching for fame.

Once you've started to write your first words keep in mind all of the writer's markets that are out there. The Helium marketplace can be a great place to start as they offer a variety of topics to write about from time to time. Scavenge the opportunity is what I say. Just don't be hasty that's all because there are so many other marketplaces on the internet that offer topics of your interest. So if it all boils down to writing about only what you have knowledge of then keep searching until you find an article that you feel comfortable with. There is an ocean full of places and a river of thoughs and emotions to be expressed so don't get discouraged and keep an open mind
