The Answer to Love
Good day to you my dear reader,
come closer so I can hear you, please come hither.
Please tell me why you read my words, why you are here.
What words and thoughts are you seeking to hear?
Are you bored and just need to be entertained?
May I suggest that you simply go outside and dance in the rain?
Do you want to hear something funny, a knock-knock joke maybe?
Then go visit the daycare's toddler room? (don't forget to peek in at the babies)
Are you looking for attention to help get you through a lonely night?
Then may I suggest you hug your child? Watch a movie with them? It would be to their delight!
Would you like to learn something? Something you never knew?
Maybe you should do some soul searching under the light of the moon.
Are you maybe by chance looking for the answer to true love?
There are lots of answers to that some here I will write of:
The love you love the most, don't smother, let them be free,
let them go as far as your heart can see.
Never doubt them, trust in them with all your heart.
trust that they are thinking of you even when you are apart.
Love knows no distance, love knows no boundaries,
but love does know that faith, trust, and honesty are the best of amenities.
Have faith that no matter where they are, they are being true
even if your past leads you to see a different view.
And if you can't do that then you simply aren't ready,
so just give yourself some time until your heart is steady.
I remind you that you love this person for good reason, if it's indeed true love,
so if you have doubt in them at all, it's best to say goodbye now to the beloved.
Some day your heart will be calm and your mind at ease,
and when you find them you will want to fall to your knees.
But instead stand tall and strong and make them proud
to be with someone who stands out in a crowd,
someone who is confident and loving, patient and kind
they will feel special and proud when it is you that they find.
So until then, go dance in the rain and play with the toddlers,
until the spirit of life has passed from them to you, the acquirers.

when I met you, stuffy nose and all, you were cordial anyway.
