Winter safety

Most of us enjoy the outdoors, regardless of the weather or season.
When we hit the winter cold and storms, it is the best thing for most of us to safely retreat to indoors as best as possible.
Not every person enjoys the warm confines of home.

However, in the event that life goes on as normal for the masses. We get out and commute to work and school. Go to the grocery store and library and all the other fundamentals.

Recently, there has been so much snow and ice and coldness. Just thick sheets of ice everywhere.
Especially in Missouri right now.

I took a scary spill myself this past Tuesday that about put my lights out.
Thank God for neighbors. Had my wonderful neighbor not just happened out to see my lying in the street. (half in the street and half in my yard)

I would probably still be lying there now. Use so much precaution when going out of doors in the inclimate weather.
I was being safer than safe; walking very slow, staying off slopes and dips in the yard. Thought I had it made and shazam. Both feet went out from under and approximately 3 feet or so off the ground, my entire body came crashing down.
My head hit the ground first, and snapped back and hit a second time off of the icy pavement, while simulataneously my right hip and tail bone came full force crushing down as well. OUCH! That my friends is an understatement.
For the first couple of days when I would move or walk at all I was hearing snaps and pops and shifts out of my own bone structure that I would equate to the sounds coming from a bowl of rice krispies. (Only louder)

So dangerous!
So if you must step out at all. Please step carefully. While some think it humorous to see people fall down and slip. Now, don't lie, we have all done it at one point in our lives. We cannot help it and we cannot explain it. Out of nowhere-man-down. It looks funny-kinda.

We laugh. We certainly fail to see the humor in it when it is ourselves.

It never really is funny and can be potentially fatal or harmful.
Wishing everyone the best to make it through the treachery of winter wonderland.
Step careful!
