Poetry: Hold my hand

by Angela Luevano

Created on: January 03, 2009

Hold my hand my mother

close your eyes, so I can show you my finger paintings.

Hold my hand my father

so I can bring you to see our new little puppies.

Hold my hand big sister

so I can show you the snail that I found.

Hold my hand little sister

so I can slide with to you at the playground.

Hold my hand my dearest friend

so we can laugh and giggle and talk and just be.

Hold my hand my dearest friend

So I can thank you dearly for always being here with me.

Hold my hand my love,

so we can watch the sun set beyond the sea.

Hold my hand my love,

Let me lay upon your shoulder, to have you, I'm so lucky.

Hold my hand my daughter,

so as to take me on a treasure hunt.

Hold my hand my son,

your baseball game, show me my seat on the bleachers up front.

Hold my hand dear Lord above,

I am always with you and my loved ones, I wish to never depart.

I hold your hand dear Lord above,

thank you for these dear people I hold close to my heart.
