PLANET MEEMOOSA AND THE PLASTIC KANGAROO

CHAPTER ONE - BLUE GOO

With a loud splash, Becky landed on her bottom in blue goo. She tried to move, but it was like sticky blue sinking sand, and she was stuck. She wriggled her bottom, but the goo was just too sticky, and she couldn't move at all.

She was so confused. One minute she'd been sitting in her Maths class, staring out the window daydreaming, and now she was in the middle of a sticky blue lake. And, she realised with panic - she was sinking!

At first only her feet and bottom had been in the goo, but now it covered her waist, and was creeping closer and closer to her neck. Tears filled her eyes as she realised that this was the end; she was about to drown in blue goo!

Maybe you're thinking she was daydreaming the blue goo, and that really she was sitting in her Maths class, gazing out the window and actively not listening to Mr.Thompson waffle on about algebra. But honestly, one minute she had been sitting in her maths class, staring out the window daydreaming, and the next she was drowning in blue goo!

How unfair to drown in a substance you've never seen before, all because you were daydreaming in Maths class!

By now the goo had reached the bottom of her chin.

She took several deep panicky breaths and clenched her face tight as the goo covered her lips and nose, pushed into her ears, and washed over her tear stained cheeks. She felt it heavy against her eyelids and then, only moments later it covered her head and........she was gone.

CHAPTER TWO - MEEMOOS

Five strange purple creatures were staring down at her. Each creature had three green eyes, three fingers on each hand, a long wobbly nose, big floppy ears and two strange circular antennae. They also had green hair poking out of their bellybuttons and the tops of their head. Not one of them had any clothes on except for sneakers. All of them were wearing sneakers. And one of them was holding a large stick covered in blue goo.

She squeezed her eyes closed and then opened them again slowly. They were still there staring down at her.

Becky realised that she was covered in bloo goo and the memory of it covering her nose and eyes came rushing back to her. How did she get out? She looked at the stick and felt the bruise on her head. They'd saved her life! The little purple things had rescued her!

Suddenly all five of the purple creatures started speaking at once. Their voices were high-pitched, but their words made no sense.
