It is fair to say that I am caught between girlhood and womanhood
I put my hair up and little wisps fall perfectly into place against my face
I look into my deep brown eyes and acknowledge the features I share with my mother and father
I stare at my breasts and I am pleased at how they have matured
I do not obsess over my flaws
I am content with what I see, not because I am vain, but because I am learning to love myself for who I am
