Forgiveness alludes me
from wounds long ago.
Like angry waves of hurt
I'm tossed to and fro.
My heart was broken,
Our family torn apart.
I can't find the place

Of all my life's trials,
Forgiving you is the one
that's ever out of reach
I just can't get it done.
