You've had the best I could offer,
in toys,
and food,
and care.
I given the best of my years,
to wash,
and teach,
and scare.
No guidance book to help me,
No manual did provide,
for the reckless moments of torture,
Through your childhood ride.
Walking the plank,
to a broken arm,
Skun knees from gravel slides,
Love and pain,
went hand in hand,
Playing the growing up game.
Could I have done you better?
Did I do enough?
How you travel this dificult life,
Only time will tell.

It happened just as I thought.
Only time will tell
If I have earned
every line on my
face.
Only time will tell
If enduring was
worth it.
