The Light Is Borne
All night long
The star shines bright
Yet still the scorn
Of men remains
She feels her song
She sees the light
She’s pushing hard
Against the pains
The words will come
All in due time
Not always cute
Won’t always rhyme
But rapt by holy mystery
That piques her curiosity
She longs to bring the world to see
The dawn of Light in history
The labor of Love still blooms and grows
Her words flow like a river
As water breaks the Father knows
That soon she will deliver
A cry of joy now to the world
To all with ears to hear it
Giving words to melody
Giving flesh to the Spirit
