Don't you remember thought that counts, and not the gift itself? In return as a thoughtful person, one should keep and appreciate any gifts given to them cheap, expensive, local, branded, big, small, whether you like it or not. Don't show you lack of gratitude.
Whatever gifts one should always treasure it. Some people got headaches just to think what gifts to buy for you. Some people have to go through so many troubles just to get you the gifts only to find out that you had given it away to someone else and worst you had discarded by selling it. What do you think people will feel about it?
Even if you don't want it, you have to treasure it. There are many ways you can do to treasure the gift. The best way is to place it in your display cabinet if you have one. Cards, collectible small accessories can always be kept together in a box.
Food and Fruits that you did not like are to be served during every meal. Other family members may have the appetite for it. Don't leave it to rot in the fridge.
You may not need it right now. Who knows when your mood swing you would want to use it or take another look at it? You'll be surprised how you can enjoy going through it when you are really had nothing to do.
I ever heard a story that there was a woman who received a dress from her husband. She did not like the bright color dress. You know what she did with it? She wore it almost every other day. The husband thought she likes it very much and always smiles in his heart whenever his wife put on the dress. Frequent washing had caused the color runs and the dress faded very fast. Finally, she got rids of it. Fortunately the husband did not go and buy another piece for her.
Would the husband be happy and smiling if she were to tell him that she does not like the dress and gave it away to someone or charity maybe?
Maybe you already had a fishing tackle and your friend gave you exactly the same one as a gift. Should you give it away, exchange it or sell it at your garage sale? If you think any of these ideas, it is better for you to get rids of your old fishing tackle instead. Enjoy and appreciate what your friend had given you.
It would be a real embarrassment if your friend were to find out that you did not like their gifts, and you are trying to dispose it in a manner of giving it to other people. It would be even more shameful if they knew that you sold it away. This may give them the impression that you are broke and hard up for money besides not appreciating their gifts.
