Why Christians are not perfect

When Adam and Eve were placed on the earth that God created, they were perfect. They were made in his image. God gave them the conscience for making choices. He gave them a boundary and told them not to cross it. They did cross the boundary and became imperfect. We as Christians today have the same conscience within us that God placed within Adam and eve.

We will not make perfect choices. We will sometimes make choices contray to God's will for us. We all have the human insticnt to place ourselves first, and when we do this we take the lead from God. The bible says that all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. We have to confess and repent of our sins. Each and every day we sin from commission and omission of God's will. God knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what temptations we will face and he knows the choice we will make and the outcome of our choices even before we will make them.

Each person is simply that a person. We are not meant to be perfect. Jesus was the only perfect person on earth. If we were meant to be perfect, then why did God send the Holy Ghost to comfort us. Why are we to pray to God without ceasing? Why did he tell us that we would have a way of not taking the temptations that come our way? God has stated that we need to come to him. If we were perfect as Adam and Eve were in the beginning we would not need the bible, to pray morning noon and night, we would not need to be running intercession for us, and we would not be facing Satan each minute of the day.

All christians can do is try. They have to live their life as best they can. They have to fight their insticints many times. They give the best they can and have to ask God to give them courage, strenght, patiesnce, and preservence to maintain their christian faith. Satan uses any means necessary to attack the christian, that may be family, friends, work or anything to help the christian fall, but if we go and tell God we continue to have a fighting chandce.

We have to live in the world but we do not live of the world. We have to try to live each day as if Christ is coming and try to do things in this world that God would be proud of. Not all the things that we do make God proud, and when we do these things then he will chastise us for them. If we were perfect we would not need to have chastisement.

There are so many examples in the bible to show us the right and wrong way to live our lives on a daily basis. If we were a perfect people we would not need those examples. Peter, David, Joseph, Jonah, and many more are our examples, and if they were not perfect then how can we be?

The bible says to hide the words of the Lord in your hear so you will know them, and make them a light unto your path, if we were expected to be perfect why would we need to do these things. Our light is to shine among all the people and we are to try to lead others unto Christ. We are trying that is what God expects of us, to try our hardest, not to be perfect.
