Arabic language is the oldest living language, I've read a lot of books for writers who lived one thousand years ago in the same language it was written with, and that's a unique case in the world, because languages tend to develop, I couldn't read the Crime and Punishment for Dostoevsky in Russian language, that is written only a hundred years ago. I tried many times and failed, even though I speak Russian very well, I've read a lot of Russian books of modern writers, and I studied and lived in Ukraine for 10 years.

Even though Russian language is well documented due to the civilization in Russia, and the education revolution that accompanied the red one there, still the difference is noticeable.

A lot of other languages have changed, no other living language is as it was 500 or 1000 years ago, so if we can agree on that, we will see this phenomenon we are witnessing with the Arabic language, and that's the influence of only one book!

If and only if the Holy Quran is not a "Holy" book, we should bow in front of this writer for His genius mind, and in this case that would be Mohammed the prophet, not only for the influence of "His" book on humanity and on history, but also for the fact that His "message" and His religion was based on the claiming that no one can write anything like this book: "And if ye are in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto Our slave (Muhammad), then produce a Surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful. And if ye do it not - and ye can never do it - then guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for disbelievers" (Quran 02/23,24).

People in the Arabic peninsula was very articulate, and sharp critics for language even slightest weaknesses, the poetry back then, was something like the national media for us now, people declared wars, love, asked for help or described adventures and events in poetry so often, that Arabic poetry now is considered to be the documentation tool for Arabic history, or as they put it in Arabic: the forum of Arabs.

It's common that the regular historic person said poetry in some of the most important moments of his life. The only one that is known never to pronounce poetry is Mohammed.

Language purity was so important back then, that people in Mecca, the holy city since the time of Abraham, used to send their kids to live in the desert with pure and rich Arabic language speaking clans, because they didn't want the different accents of pilgrims to ruin their language purity, or to harm their linguistic abilities.

A society, a whole nation of very articulate speakers, epic poets and unmerciful critics, couldn't write anything close to that Divine linguistic formation that is the Quran, in all of its miraculous aspects.

Allah even points at poets as people who are forced to twist the meaning in order to maintain the rhythm. In the case of the Quran, each the rhythm and the meaning, and the meaning of the meaning all the way up, are deliciously amazing! not to mention all the historical and scientific wonders in Quran, that it's just impossible to create anything that can be that majestic in all of it's aspects at the same time like this book. And they knew it. They saw that miracle, and they fought over that, the father against his son, man against his brother, people was tortured to go back to their old religion, in many times till death, for thirteen years people suffered for what they believed in, after which the Islamic history begins. Since then 1.4 Billion people joined that group that started with only one man, and with only one book!
