A sunburned treetop
A whispering sky
A fallen leaf about to die
A bursting earthworm
A sprouting grass
A lake so still as verdant glass
A heavy heart in sadness lies,
Beneath the ever revolving skies
The world turns on from day to night,
Parading on to dawn's new light
As flowers fade and turn into earth
Their nutrients give way to birth
Whatever today has brought in sorrow
I can try again, tomorrow
