Christians as a whole have lost their focus. In a world where we see all of the evil around us, on a daily basis, it has become difficult for Christians to cope with all of the outside influences and to choose to live a Christian life. Please, before I get any hate mail, hear me out. The cards are stacked against us as Christians. As a Christian, understand that I am speaking as a whole and I am not passing judgement on any individuals.
The moral standards in the United States and even the world have have plummeted in the past twenty years since I was a child, and just by speaking to people from my parent's generation, it has been an ongoing problem. If you ask anyone who doesn't go to church for their reasons not to attend, I'm sure that at least one out of ten will tell you that it's because of hypocrites, the Sunday Christians. If you can name one of these times, then Bless You, and you are not one of those that I'm speaking of. You see, in the bible, Cain asks God "Am I my brother's keeper?" The rest of the bible says YES YOU ARE. Now even if you can list all of the times that you have helped another, think of all of the other opportunities that other Christians were called upon and they didn't act.
When it comes to politics many people vote for the candidate who they feel will best serve their needs. But they never consider how that candidate feels about issues that are pertinent to their core beliefs. Abortion for instance is one of these issues. The bible states that God formed man in the womb (Isaiah 44:2). If we abort an unborn fetus, then we are destroying one of God's creations, therefore, if you are a Christian that supports abortion, then you
