The best of the 6 Star Wars films is most definately "The Empire Strikes Back". Hands down. It was the best of the original 3, despite what Lucas himself believes because he wrote "A New Hope". But really, how many Star Wars fans actually side with Lucas on any opinion?

"Empire" is by far the greatest because the Princess reveals her love for Han Solo when Han gets frozen in carbonite. Also, it is the episode where Luke starts his Jedi training. But the biggest reason why it is the best, is because it was the pivital episode where everyone found out that Vader was Luke's father after he cuts off Luke's arm.

This movie ends on such a down note, but it is the most driving plot line out of all the episodes.

The newest 3 episodes don't even count because you can get the entire story out of the older 3. The new 3 are comparable to fanfiction in that most of any of it doesn't even matter.
