Often a break up is not up for negotiation. There are rare cases when you can convince your partner not to break up. It depends how bad you messed up in the relationship. Here are four tips on how to convince your partner not to break up.

Promise to go to counseling

If you have emotional issues then make sure that you offer to go to counseling. This shows that you are working on making an attempt to keep the relationship together. It shows that you still care about your partner. Give counseling a try to see how well it works out. Make sure to keep your promise though.

Ask for a second chance

It never hurts to ask for a second chance. Your about soon to be ex might want a few reasons to why he or she should give you a second chance. You might want to explain to them what it would take for you to give him or her a second chance. Be willing to compromise at this point if he or she is willing to give a second chance.

Talk

A simple conversation might convince her or him to not break up. Perhaps a heart to heart conversation will help change the situation. Often at times when one is about to break up with you it is often based upon your responses to questions. If you don't give us the right answer then we will usually follow through with the decision to end the relationship. Allot of times men or women don't understand each other.

Find out the main reason of the break up

You future ex will be probably glad to tell you why he or she wants to break up with you. You can always try to convince her or him to not break up by offering to change the way you do things or simple stuff such as asking what can be done to save the relationship. This implies that you are willing to give effort.

Try the sex method as a last resort

Your partner usually won't break up with you if you two end up having sex together. This will help her to decide not to break up with you. It is a win win situation for both of you. This method usually works on women, but you have to get her in the mood first. Sex will change things for the most part depending upon how much she or he still loves you. Sex can often give you a second chance by just doing that. We all know how crazy it sounds, but it often works out well in the end.

If everything fails then please realize that the relationships is over completely. It is done. There is no chance at saving it no matter what you do. You could show up to her or him house with the most expensive gift in the world, but he or she wouldn't take you back.
